Ship One, Ship Fast

Build one thing, ship it fast, and let the data tell you if you were right.

The keyword list keeps growing and so does the list of breakout sites, but the question that actually blocks people is a different one: which one do I build today? This section does one thing. Pick a single need from the data, build it quickly, and publish the process and the result.

Why only one

1

Collecting is not analysis

A longer ranking or keyword list does not answer “which one”. Each breakout site has to be taken apart before it turns into something you can act on.

2

Nobody knows in advance which keyword will work

Search data after launch is more reliable than any judgment made before it. So ship first, then adjust to the feedback.

3

Keywords expire, methods do not

Once a keyword is public it gets crowded fast. What stays useful is the way of finding and judging keywords, and that is what gets recorded here.

The path from zero to one

  1. 1

    Read the signal

Find sites that have been growing lately in the rankings, and see which keyword roots they cluster around.See the rankings

  2. 2

    Take breakout sites apart

Look at three things for each one: how it built its backlinks, which keywords it targets, and which of those actually bring in Google traffic.

  3. 3

    Break down the root

Split a root into concrete use cases. Take remover: 4 of the 50 sites in this issue's dual-growth ranking are removers, covering watermarks, logos, background music, and vocals.

  4. 4

    Pick one

Choose a single narrow keyword. Before building, write down why you chose it and what result would count as success.

  5. 5

    Ship fast

Build the smallest page that can get indexed first. Polish comes later.

  6. 6

    Read the curve

Mark every action on the Search Console curve, see which one moved it, then decide whether to double down or switch keywords.

What each experiment will publish

  • Why the keyword was chosen, with the data at the time
  • The date and content of every action
  • The Search Console clicks and impressions curve
  • The verdict: keep going or drop it, and why

A sketch, not real data. Once the first experiment is live, this will be replaced by its actual Search Console curve.
